Mrs. FRANCES JANE DILLON

A good portion of the community received a shock on Friday evening when it became known that Mrs. Frances Jane Dillon, wife of Mr. Patrick John Dillon, of the Criterion Hotel, had died during the afternoon (says the Hay "Grazier")

Mrs. Dillon, who was a young woman of about 30 years of age, had recently suffered considerably from dropsy, and on Thursday was compelled to lay up. On Friday forenoon she became seriously ill and died a few hours later from heart failure. Mrs. Dillon was the daughter of Mr. Michael and Mrs. Kennedy, now of Queensland, and was born in Bendigo, going with her parents to reside in Deniliquin shortly after, where she lived till her marriage to Mr. Dillon, some six years ago.

The funeral of deceased took place on Saturday and was very largely attended. The remains were interred in the Catholic portion of the Hay cemetery, the funeral service being conducted by the Rev. Father Shore.
